The reality is that the culture of AMORC is akin to the culture of the Roman Empire. After all, Imperator means Emperor. And, in Rome, the Emperor was considered a god. So the Culture of AMORC is a dictatorship.

If you truly believe in spiritual truth, you must admit that playing “follow the leader” is not exactly the way to get direct experience and certain guidance from the Highest Power.
Perhaps leaders can help point the way- but it is up to you to understand the limitations of having your guidance come through another human being.
Even AMORC, as an organization, understands this- because the Imperator does not appoint his successor but is chosen by “The Great White Brotherhood :)”.
So, no matter what you do, you need to take responsibility for being a member of an organization that clearly states it provides a way to experience guidance directly from God- called in Rosicrucian parlance, the Cosmic.
And that is all very well if you believe it- and have authentically gone through the laborious efforts needed to validate AMORC’S claims and have decided that my testimony and theory about AMORC is invalid, then God bless you. You have at least made an effort at finding the truth.
But, if, you as a member, think that AMORC may be engaged in activities as I have outlined in The Prisoner of San Jose and AMORC Unmasked- you are obligated to put yourself on a fact-finding mission to investigate the truth of these activities. Not only for yourself- but also for your brothers and sisters who may be lured into what I consider a most deceptive tender trap.
That’s what I think you have an obligation to do. And I am exercising my sense of responsibility of putting my time and effort to continuing to investigate, writing books and creating this blog.
And who cares about you- and how you go about finding your personal truth? Why I do! That’s why I’m here.

I found this book to be quite interesting. No matter what one's opinion of AMORC is (and it seems everyone commenting has a strong opinion on AMORC) Freeman's journey seems typical for someone who feels marginalized and believes they will gain self worth by joining some kind of group.
